Getting Rad & Refined

I came across this awesome website last week (http://radandrefined.com/). I love places where you get the edited feel of a small boutique with the convenience and edge of an online platform. Featuring designers such as A Peace Treaty, Opening Ceremony and Myne this place definitely has items to add to the "need it" list.

Rad & Refined was started by the fabulous Jacqueline Rezak who travels between LA and SF spreading her unique style and even at the young age of 24 she has created a great mix of polished looks that have serious edge appeal.

So what's on my list? Check out some of the awesome pieces which will hopefully grace my wardrobe very soon.

Natalie Cami by Rory Beca

Simple sophistication.

The Sage bag from House of Harlow

Shaking up the traditional equestrian satchel.

Djado Neclace in Silver

Arts & Crafts style meets LA luxe.

Opening Ceremony Jinx Sunglasses in Tortoise

A classic pair of tortoise wayfarers given an edgy update.

Happy Shopping!!

A First! - The San Francisco Fall Antiques Show

So today I embarked on the SF Fall Antiques Show. Rated by the Robb Report as one of the 10 most important antiques fairs in the world, dealers spanning from London, New York and San Francisco set up here to showcase their finest acquisitions. I sometimes forget how small SF actually is. I visited many antique fairs in London and I have to say - SF really held its own.

Here are a few items from my favorite vendors at the show.

HABITE
Los Angeles, California

A rare Piero Fornasetti table top from his early period and a beautiful pair of mid century side chairs with white leather upholstery. I love how the arms are so delicate.

DANISH SILVER
Copenhagen, Denmark

This piece immediately grabbed my attention. I love the rawness of the suede band and the slightly tribal influence. The piece is by Karl Gustav Hansen and was created for his wife who personally sold it to the dealer.

MATT MURPHY STUDIO
San Francisco

I loved how fresh this booth felt. Pieces were mixed with contemporary artwork and there were great pops of color everywhere! An amazing hutch with an orange interior and mirrored back provides a beautiful display space. Also in love with the pair of stools - I'll take black and gold any day!

STEINITZ
Paris, France

A setup that included elaborate panelling and rich sumptuous furniture - I fell in love with this coffee table - excuse the reflection in the picture, but amazing stone marquetry!

GALERIE LEFEBVRE
Paris, France

One of the first booths as you walk in. Immediately greeted by an incredibly elegant art deco arrangement.

I would definitely recommend a visit to anyone who is interested in design.

A great place for inspration!

Storefront - Studio Patro in San Francisco

I just discovered this amazing store after spotting one of their fabulous tea towels as wrapping for a bottle of wine on one of my favorite tumblrs - Crush Cul de Sac. I decided to explore their website and let's just say I wasn't disappointed.

Studio Patro's tea towels are 100% European linen and all designs are handprinted one-by-one, with water-based inks and an ecologically sound citrus-soy cleanup - I'm a sucker for anything that looks this good and doesn't wreak havoc on the environment.

The designs are beautifully simple and oh those muted colours! Based in my local SF they are sure to be on my visitation list! (www.studiopatro.com/ )

Beautiful aprons and market bags - also on my wish list!
